Arab News Launches Translation Services in 50 Languages at FIPP Media Congress in Madrid

Arab News, Saudi Arabia’s first English-language newspaper, has announced the launch of a new AI-powered translation service, enabling its content to be accessed in 50 different languages. The announcement was made during the FIPP Media Congress 2025 in Madrid, coinciding with the newspaper’s 50th anniversary.

🎯 Reaching a Global Audience

According to Feisal Abbas, Editor-in-Chief of Arab News, this initiative represents a major milestone in the publication’s strategy. The multilingual translation service will allow the newspaper to reach over 6.5 billion people, or roughly 80% of the world’s population.

Founded in 1975 to serve as Saudi Arabia’s voice in English, Arab News now aims to become a regional voice accessible to all, in their native languages, reflecting the rapid transformations occurring across the Middle East and the wider world.

🤝 A Prestigious Event

The announcement was made in the presence of Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz Al-Muqrin, Saudi Ambassador to Spain, alongside Arab and Spanish diplomats and senior editorial executives. This high-profile attendance highlights the initiative’s significance both media-wise and diplomatically.

🚀 A Strategy for International Expansion

The translation service forms part of Arab News’ broader strategy to strengthen its global influence by leveraging AI technologies to deliver content that is more accessible, diverse, and inclusive.
By offering high-quality automated translations, the newspaper aims to consolidate its position among international media outlets and expand its readership across all regions of the world.
