RIYADH: Egyptian e-commerce platform Homzmart, known for selling furniture, has started operating in Saudi Arabia, Zawya reported.
Ibrahim Mohamed, co-founder and operations manager of Homzmart said that the company’s expansion to Saudi Arabia is a milestone for the firm, as it brings opportunities for business cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
“The disruption of global supply chains, high oil prices, in addition to their strategic location in Damietta and the fast and cost-effective logistics they provide, make deepening the Saudi-Egyptian trade in furniture and household goods a win-win,” added Mohammed.
Homzmart has already made its presence felt in Saudi Arabia as it launched its logistic arm in the Kingdom in November 2021.
With the e-commerce platform in Saudi Arabia, Homzmart hopes to increase the access of Egyptian manufacturers and Egyptian brands to regional markets.
