Zoom opens new data center in Saudi Arabia as part of digital infrastructure expansion
Zoom has announced the launch of a new data center in Saudi Arabia, strengthening its presence in the Middle East and supporting the country’s growing demand for digital services, cloud computing, and AI-enabled solutions.
The facility, operated in partnership with local infrastructure provider center3, is designed to improve service performance, reduce latency, and meet data residency requirements for government entities, regulated sectors, and enterprises operating in the Kingdom. It will help ensure that data is processed and stored locally, in line with Saudi regulatory expectations.
The launch was supported by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and aligns with the country’s broader Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to position the Kingdom as a regional hub for technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
According to Zoom executives, the Saudi market is one of the fastest-growing digital ecosystems in the region, driven by rapid cloud adoption and large-scale investments in smart infrastructure. The new center is expected to enhance Zoom’s ability to serve both public and private sector clients more efficiently.
This expansion reflects the company’s continued investment in the region, following earlier infrastructure deployments, and highlights the increasing importance of data sovereignty and localized digital infrastructure in global tech strategies.
