Ronaldo breaks YouTube record for fastest-growing channel

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made headlines, this time by breaking a YouTube record for the fastest-growing channel. The Portuguese football star, currently playing for Al-Nassr, reached an astonishing 1 million subscribers in just 90 minutes after launching his channel. This milestone sets a new benchmark for the fastest subscriber growth on the platform.

Ronaldo's channel, "UR Ronaldo," quickly gained traction and has already surpassed 22 million subscribers. The channel features 19 videos, including full-length content and shorts, offering fans an inside look at his life and career. This rapid growth also saw Ronaldo's channel overtaking that of his longtime rival, Lionel Messi, whose YouTube channel has just over 2 million subscribers.

Ronaldo celebrated this achievement by sharing a video on Instagram, where his children can be seen holding a gold "play button" plaque awarded by YouTube for surpassing 1 million subscribers. Some fans speculated that YouTube had prepared the plaque in advance, anticipating the channel's success.

This latest achievement adds to Ronaldo's impressive list of records. He was the first person to reach 400 million followers on Instagram in 2022 and now ranks as the second most-followed account on the platform. Across all social media, Ronaldo has amassed a staggering 941 million followers, further cementing his status as a global icon.

Additionally, Ronaldo has recently been chosen to promote Saudi Arabia's bid for the FIFA 2034 World Cup, highlighting his influence both on and off the pitch.
