Saudi fashion star Nojoud Al-Rumaihi turns heads in Cannes

Saudi fashion star Nojoud Al-Rumaihi made a striking appearance at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, turning heads with a blush ensemble by Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi, the founder of the Paris-based label Ashi Studio. Al-Rumaihi's attire was a standout from the designer’s 8PM collection, featuring a strapless corset-style top with delicate embroidery and a criss-cross back. The look was completed with a mermaid silhouette skirt with a train and fluffy, feathered detached sleeves. Her look was further accentuated by Marli jewelry, makeup by Dior Beauty, and her brunette hair styled in a retro bob.

Al-Rumaihi attended the premiere of the much-anticipated film “The Apprentice,” directed by Ali Abbasi. The film, which stars Sebastian Stan as Donald Trump and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn, portrays the controversial and formative relationship between Trump and his mentor Cohn during the 1980s. The movie, still seeking distribution, has generated buzz for its critical depiction of Trump amidst the ongoing hush money trial in New York.

Another Saudi celebrity, actress Maria Bahrawi, also graced Cannes with her presence. She attended the Red Sea International Film Foundation Industry Networking Event in a long-sleeved dress adorned with white florals and pastel hues. Bahrawi also attended a celebration for the film “Norah,” in which she stars, hosted by Film AlUla. For this event, she wore a sophisticated black jumpsuit with a white cape from Dubai-based Etoile La Boutique.

Both Al-Rumaihi and Bahrawi's appearances at Cannes highlight the growing influence of Saudi talent and fashion on the global stage. For the latest updates, follow @arabnews.lifestyle on Instagram.
