‘Perfectionist’ Cristiano Ronaldo delighted with 2nd Al-Nassr hat-trick in 3 days


 Ronaldo, who scored three goals in Saturday's 5-1 victory against Al-Tai, continued his impressive form by netting two free-kicks within 10 minutes to help Al-Nassr secure an early two-goal lead in their 8-0 triumph over Abha on Tuesday.

The iconic No. 7 then completed another hat-trick with a cheeky chip, and provided direct assists to Sadio Mane and Abdulmajeed Al-Sulaiheem, guiding Al-Nassr to a commanding 5-0 lead by halftime.

Ronaldo, who was substituted at halftime and rested for the second half, has now accumulated an impressive total of 65 senior hat-tricks in his illustrious career. He currently leads the Roshn Saudi League's scoring chart this season with 29 goals in 24 matches. Moreover, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored a remarkable 36 goals in 35 games across all competitions for Al-Nassr this season.

When asked about his hat-trick achievement after the match, Ronaldo modestly replied, "Great, thank you," accompanied by football emojis to symbolize his hat-trick. He also expressed on social media, "We are not slowing down."

During the post-match press conference, Al-Nassr manager Castro praised Ronaldo's dedication, professionalism, and consistency, highlighting him as a role model for the team. He emphasized Ronaldo's exemplary work ethic, regardless of the team's performance or circumstances, noting that Ronaldo's contributions reflect the collective effort of the entire group.

Al-Nassr currently holds the second position in the Roshn Saudi League standings, trailing leaders Al-Hilal by 12 points. In their 8-0 victory, Al-Nassr added second-half goals through Abdulrahman Ghareeb and a brace from 20-year-old substitute Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa, who scored his first goals for the club.

On the other hand, Abha, who are 17th in the table, remain focused on their goal of staying in the league. Despite the heavy defeat, manager Pitso Mosimane acknowledged the team's mistakes and emphasized the importance of learning from the experience to improve in future matches. Abha's upcoming game is against Al-Fateh, while Al-Nassr will face Damac in their next league fixture.
